His Grace Has Far Exceeded All Expectations – December 2017 Update

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Blessings and Greetings from cool and sunny North Texas. Thank you for your prayers, calls, messages, and support during this time. The Lord has encouraged our hearts through them and has strengthened us, just knowing that others stand with us in this work of exhortation in the Word and preaching of the Gospel in the local churches, the ministry which we are stewards of and must give an account to the Lord for.

Churches and Activities we have been involved in lately.

Emmanuel Baptist Church—Pastor Dale Harris, Jacksonville, TX—Revival; Bro Mark Thrift opened the meeting on Sunday, Bro Barefield had health issues and could not make the scheduled meeting. Bro Dale called me as a substitute for Bro Ronnie. Bro Barefield’s advice—Bro Wayne pinch hitters need to hit home-runs. No pressure there-right. But the Lord showed up and took up the slack, we had a wonderful meeting.

We traveled to Stinnett, TX for the 90th Birthday celebration for a special lady, my Aunt Sylvia Norman. She has a special place in mine and Susie’s lives. The next morning we left Borger early and were able to go to the final Mission Conference service of Victory Baptist Church—Pastor Ryan Ricker, Wichita Falls, TX. Former pastor Bryan Weisse brought a challenging message to close the meeting.

Attended a Texas Theological University modular class on the book of Hebrews taught by my pastor Jim Turner. This course will be available as an internet class now. We have most of our courses on-line now and are working on those that are not every week. This is a big help to folks who are remote in their location. I believe it’s a wave of the future. It makes a preparation for Bible preaching and teaching available to almost anyone regardless of location.

Next, we were in Star Baptist Church—Pastor Rick McClaskey, Keota, OK—for Old Fashioned Round-Up Sunday. This church is one of the best kept secrets in Oklahoma. We had a wonderful day there. We left in late afternoon, traveled till late bedtime and the next day to get to Hillcrest Baptist Church—Pastor Brandon Hudson (grandson)—we were with our family (Brandon, Sarah and 4 great grandchildren) for Thanksgiving Service and the week. Brandon and I shared preaching duties Sunday.

Looking Back

We are approaching the end of 2017 and look back upon a very eventful year. We have been kept busy by God’s grace. There were some down days for sure and health issues which Susie and I had never faced. But in it all and through it all the Lord has been faithful. His Grace has far exceeded all expectations. One great blessing is that of being part of Victory Baptist Press’ ministry of printing and distributing Bibles worldwide.

Looking Forward

Yet, we need Him now More than Ever! Amen? Although we do not know what is ahead, we say with David, “I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.” Psalm 71:16.

Susie and I would like to take this opportunity to wish YOU,YOUR FAMILY, and the CHURCH FAMILIES a very ** MERRY CHRISTMAS ** AND A ** HAPPY NEW YEAR **
ONE That will bring us Closer to our LORD and That will Strengthen our FAITH in JESUS!

With Our love to You,

Brother Wayne and Susie Hudson

      Larry&Joyce,
I had a glitch on my webpage. I just found this email last week. Thanks for the good letter. We really enjoyed the Birthday get together and reunion. Wish we had made plans to stay longer. We came on to Wichita Falls Sun morning for church, lunch, then were at our church Sun Night. It was a blessing to visit with everyone at the party. But I really enjoyed to visit at home with y’all. Hope y’all are doing good.
      Wayne & Susie.
