“Jesus Saves, Jesus Saves” – June 2017 Update

Dearly Beloved,

Greetings and Blessings from North Texas. I am rejoicing in my  heart that “Jesus saves, Jesus saves”.  What a privilege to be among those who have “heard the joyful sound; Jesus saves, Jesus saves”. To share the responsibility to—“Spread the tidings all around; Jesus saves”. To—“Sing above the battle strife, Sing it softly through the gloom, sing when the heart for mercy craves; Jesus saves. To—“Sing This our song of victory; Jesus saves, Jesus saves”!! That great song of praise was written by a 50 years faithful Sunday School worker, Priscilla Jane Owens in 1860. 150 years later still turns the honey bucket over in our souls and stirs me to pray for all of us to remember and obey the instructions to preach it to “every creature”.

We have been busy since our last letter. We are thankful for “busy” aren’t you? We were with the following churches:

Victory Baptist Church Salado, TX Pastor Billy Borho Days of Refreshing Bible Conference
Riverview Baptist Church Borger, TX Pastor Jimmy Gilmore Pastor’s Fiftieth Anniversary
Victory Baptist Church Milton , FL Pastor Tim Fellure Introduction to Church
Victory Baptist Press Milton, FL Director Jim Fellure Introduction to VBP
Lakewood Baptist Church  Powderly,TX Pastor John Griswood Three Service Sunday
Ft. Victory Baptist Church, Crowley, TX Pastor Bill Keisling Preaching Mtg.
Christ Bible Baptist Church Nolanville, TX Pastor Mike Dailey Three Service Sunday
Metropolitan Baptist Church Ft Worth,TX Pastor Jim Turner Mother’s Day
College Heights Baptist Church Temple, TX Pastor Albert Gregg Revival
Riverview Baptist Church Borger, TX Pastor Jimmy Gilmore Sunday Service
Camp Masterson Masterson,TX Director Mike Kelley Family/Youth Camp
Westworth Baptist Temple Ft Worth, TX Pastor Bob Mayberry Father’s Day

I can never say all that is on my heart about the churches and pastors where we serve. These are faithful men and churches serving the Lord, sowing and reaping, going through trials, knowing victories and defeats just like we all do. I cannot say passionately enough; please don’t yawn and pass them off, please don’t be judgmental in your attitude toward them, “But Brethren …ye which are spiritual…consider thyself, lest thou be tempted. Bear  ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1-2.

May each of us continue to run the race that is set before us “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” There are many obstacles, many trials and temptations, many dry and dusty days, some tears to endure, but “the joy of the Lord is our strength and our Faith is the victory that overcomes the world”.

We look forward to what our Lord has in store in the days to come. As we go, we come under the burden for the people and pastors in the places where we go. Our ministry is one of faith. We trust the Lord to touch hearts and open doors for service where He would have us serve. The need for revival is evident around us in these days. Yet, at the same time we can so readily experience the presence and power of God. Our prayer is, “Lord, help us to Decrease, so that You may be able to Increase in us and all that you will do with us.”

To God be all Glory and Praise!
