Greetings and Blessings from the land of North Texas in the early days of summer or last days of spring, hard to tell which. I am thinking of an older black gentleman who used to ride the van to church years ago. Bro. Wiley loved to get to church early enough to attend the men’s prayer meeting. He always began his prayer the same way “Lord, we thank you for a day we’ve never seen before”. Like Bro Wiley I am thankful for every day no matter the season, and want to use each of the days that I have left to give Him glory. That doesn’t mean that I won’t enjoy every one of those days as well. Some will be family days, vacation days, work days, etc. Maybe you are already aware that any day in His will is a joy filled day and a self-filled day is never as fulfilling.
We have been busy and privileged to be in some wonderful Churches in these days. We began the month of March with Bible Fellowship Baptist Church, Sacramento, CA, Pastor Dennis Blankenship for a blessed first weekend of their Missions Month. We were so stirred and blessed by this international church and by Bro Dennis and Mrs Karen’s hospitality. We were in Star Baptist Church, Keota, OK, Pastor Rick McClaskey for their Jubilee, We are so thankful for the faithfulness of Bro Rick and this church. Next we were at Victory Baptist Church, Salado, TX, Pastor Billy Borho for a wonderful Days of Refreshing Bible Conference. Please pray for Bro. Billy & Gloria Borho’s family. Their oldest son, Duane, was taken suddenly in an auto accident April 16.
We assisted with Fort Victory Baptist Church Building Dedication, Crowley, TX, Pastor Bill Keisling. We were with Memorial Baptist Church, Montgomery, TX, Pastor John Vivola for Missions Conference. We had a great week, pray for this new church and pastor, I am looking to hear good things in days to come. We traveled to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, St. Clair, MO, Pastor Thomas Smith for the 2018 Preaching & Ministry Conference. Next was Community Baptist Church, Rendon, TX, Pastor Tony Graves for Camp Meeting. A powerful week with souls saved. Then Fellowship Baptist Church, Independence, MO, Pastor Shawn Goss, revival meeting. We ask you to pray for another young pastor and church on the grow.
This is a Faith ministry. That is we do not politic or promote for meetings. We try to be a ministry of encouragement to Pastors and local Churches. We seek the Lord and pray for a touch of revival in one individual in one local church that will be a spark used of God to bring “my people called by my name to humbleness, praying, seeking His Face, turning from wicked ways, so that God can keep His promise to hear, forgive sins, and heal our land.” We take every invitation seriously and ask God to bless us and allow us to be a blessing where we go.
Paul asked the church at Colosse (a church he hadn’t met or seen) to pray for him. In that same spirit I ask you also to: “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.” Col 4:2-4
