Special People, Places, Services & Testimonies – October 2018 Update

Greetings from the Heart of Texas, we survived the unusual heat and drouth of a record setting summer. We now have had both rain and cool temperatures. We are in a green and growing approach to fall. The song says of Christmas, I say of fall in Texas, “the most wonderful time of the year”.

We live with the constant clamor of voices crying for our attention don’t we? Every day we make decisions that may make or break our lives and those who depend upon us. Solomon in the book of Ecclesiastes speaks after rehearsing life filled with mistakes, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecc.12:3. Too often our decision is made on what is pleasurable, profitable, or popular rather than what is proper. We easily forget that the only proper response to anything is to do the will of God. We do not decide what is important enough to refer the question to Him. All that matters is the Father’s will. Andrew Bonar, “It is not the importance of the thing, but the majesty of the Lawgiver, that is to be the standard of our obedience.” Our response is cheerful obedience of respect to Him regardless of our questions or opinions on the matter. As we do so we will find that our love for Him and His will results in His most choice blessings upon ourselves. (Partially from Morning Manna)

I would like to give you a report of every church, every pastor, and every service in the list above. They are special people, special places, and there were special services with each one. They are much more than a list. We could talk of hearts, tears, joy, salvations, faithfulness of servants, sparks of revival, special testimonies and the hand of God upon individuals represented by this group. These like you are some of God’s special people; called to be lights in a perverse generation, called to be like Jesus in this world, called to preach, teach, and live the Gospel to lost souls. They are just sinners like you and me, saved and sent with the Good News—Jesus Saves! Jesus Saves! What a privilege to be called, chosen, prepared, for His Service, Amen!

The burdens to each of the called, sometimes are heavy. We need each other. I ask you to pray one for another. Break down walls of division so the Lord can work in our day. The needs are great but our God is Great. Please pray for this ministry. It is a Faith ministry. We seek to be a ministry of encouragement to Pastors and to local Churches. We take every invitation seriously and ask God to bless us and allow us to be a blessing where we go.
