As I thought on this Christmas Season and how to approach it, I found Isaiah 9:2 in my devotional reading. A familiar passage and prophecy of the coming Christ (Mt 4:15-16) which many have taught and preached from. This phrase captured my attention; “they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them the light shined.” Bring that to this day, surely a very dark time, a perilous time. Without doubt we dwell in “the shadow of death”. Diseases are multiplied, even epidemic, wars have invaded schools, malls, neighborhoods of America. Wars seem to be unceasing in all areas of the world. The lure of the world and lust of the flesh destroy a generation. These are problems no Santa in the world can fix. But God Can!!
Because, we look to “a great Light” at this very season; “For unto us child is born, unto us a son is given”! (v6) “In Him was life; and the life was the Light of men.” “I am the Light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of life. (Jn 1:4, 8:12). Phillip Brooks caught this vision from the desert hills overlooking Bethlehem one dark night in 1883, with this verse of “O Little Town of Bethlehem”.
“O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by; Yet in thy dark streets shineth The Everlasting Light; The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.”

There are so many struggling all around us who need our prayers and care. So, let us all be mindful of each other and put on the armor of God and having done all to stand… we may Stand therefore, as we face the fiery darts of Satan in a seriously apathetic and apostate moment. Remember that… “God is still on the throne, and we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous.” We love and appreciate each of you so much, we need the care and the prayers of one another more than ever. God Bless each of you.
WE PRAY THAT YOU HAVE A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR
Much Love and Prayers,
Bro. Wayne and Mrs. Susie
