We Appreciate God and You So Much Through This…

Greetings and Blessings to each of you. I am thankful for each of you who read these letters and pray for us. Susie has had various serious health issues since our last newsletter. A mass in her colon and massive infection. It was all nonmalignant but resulted in three surgical procedures, massive antibiotic infusions, and life threatening blood loss. I have struggled about how to say this to you. To say that we were unprepared for all this is an understatement. Several meetings were canceled and life was a whirlwind of medication, hospitals, and Doctors. Now it’s all just a blur but each day was a new crisis.

However, we serve a great God and He has supplied in so many ways to meet the needs of these last 2 ½ months in so many ways and by so many means and people that we could not have imagined. After all the sickness and struggles it seems the storm has passed and a new day has dawned, the sun is still shining and the Lord is still on His throne. He is in control and He cares. We must give Him praise for life, health, healing, family and friends.

We need to say thanks to so many of you for your calls, concern, and prayers. Our counters were filled with cards. So many folks expressed their love and care. No doubt about it God heard your prayers for Susie. She passed through that “valley of the shadow of death”, but He answered prayer, humbled our hearts, and brought us to a new place of glorifying Him. Each of you had a part in all that. We couldn’t begin to enumerate all that He did through you to express His love, mercy, grace to our hearts. Thank You All very much for your thoughts, expressions of concern and prayers. Words fail to express what is in our hearts. “I thank my God on every remembrance of you. Philippians 1:3”

Aren’t you glad we have a resting place and refuge in the Savior? He cares for each of us!

Why should I feel discouraged                       When Jesus is my portion
Why should the shadows come                     A constant friend is He
Why should my heart feel lonely                   His eye is on the sparrow
And long for heaven and home                    And I know He cares for  me”

I realize that this has not been a ministry report. I felt a need to communicate heart to heart on these things. We are still doing what the Lord called us to. We had to cancel 4 meetings and have missed others that we normally would have made. The churches and pastors have been extremely gracious to us in all of this. We have preached and been involved in some of the meetings close to home. We have been able to teach a couple of courses at Texas Theological University and Seminary. We are doing some traveling and looking forward to some upcoming meetings.

Please pray for this ministry. We seek to be a ministry of encouragement to Pastors and to local Churches. We take every invitation seriously and ask God to bless us and allow us to be a blessing where we go. With Paul I ask; “Withal, praying for us…That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.” Col 4:2-4

Thanks for the update Brother Wayne, so sorry to hear about Sister Susie’s physical trials and yet I’m rejoicing to see that the storm has passed and you’ll are back in the saddle! Love you and will be praying for you in the days to come!

Very shocking to hear this, but so glad God has brought you and Sussie through this trial, testing, trauma, or whatever you would call this experience, where GOD shows HIMSELF strong to meet the need. I am so glad to hear you are on the other side of these emergencies.

Thanks for the call from Sussie. I thought it was over when you left the hospital when I saw you last. I thought you were already back on the road with your ministry. Life goes in strange directions in this life. God still wants to use you and I’m thrilled to hear this adjustment is over and you are back in the saddle. You have stood beside her closely during these near death experiences. And it is evident God stood beside you and her. Praise HIS NAME! Keep on serving. Love y’all greatly.

    Hi
Glad to hear Mrs. Hudson is on the mend and that you both have stood spiritually strong through it all. God is always ready to deliver either out of the situation or through it.
It is always good to hear from you.
    Steve and Pat Andres
